Marc Murtra joins the board of directors of a second company listed on the Spanish stock exchange. After assuming the chairmanship of the technology group Indra last year, the executive has now been hired by Ebro Foods as an independent director and member of two of the board’s most important committees: the executive committee and the audit and control committee. Murtra will fill the vacancy left by Pedro Antonio Zorrero, who resigned in December.

Murtra is also a member of the La Caixa Banking Foundation, chairman of Barcelona-based M&A consultancy Closa Investment Bankers and associate professor of financial management and financial economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where he teaches undergraduate business administration and economics students.

Ebro Foods is the world leader in the rice sector, with well-known brands such as SOS, La Fallera and Brillante; it also operates in the pasta business with brands such as Garofalo. With revenues of €2,8M in 2020 and a net profit of €192M.
